Description: |
June nights are alive with sounds Y a beautiful chorus comprised of the voices of many animals, including birds, frogs, and insects. The field behind the museum is especially rich in sounds, as it contains both open and forested ponds, favored breeding habitats for animals such as Bullfrogs, Green Frogs, and Gray Treefrogs. With luck, we may hear the calls of late Spring Peepers, and of two of our native toads, Fowlerfs, and the elusive Eastern Spadefoot Toad. First wefll listen to a short presentation of the sounds we might hear and then we will go outdoors, on the museum's deck, to listen to the chorus of the night. |
