Description: |
Where am I, where do I want to go? How do I get there? These are some of the most basic yet oldest questions in time. In this outdoor program, participants will learn what GPS is, what it is used for, and how it works. First, there will be an indoor presentation to go over the basics. Then, it's out into the field. Here you'll get hands-on experience using a Garmin eTrex GPS unit to find waypoints, created to indicate certain environmental objects, and then take part in a GPS "scavenger hunt". |
