Celebrating 18 years of Giving
This year, Hanukkah begins on Thursday, November 28, 2013. To accommodate early shopping, Champions for Charity(R) will take place on an additional day, Sunday November 24, 2013. This annual holiday shopping benefit has been embraced by the community, growing to support over 90 not-for-profit organizations with the participation of over 70 Americana Manhasset and select Wheatley Plaza stores. Much happens during the shopping benefit; charity receptions, complimentary gift-wrapping, personal shopper and concierge services abound. The air is charged with excitement as shoppers purchase holiday gifts knowing they are helping their favorite charities at the same time.
Since its inception in 1996, Champions for Charity(R) has raised nearly 7 million dollars. Taking an active role in the community has been an integral part of Americana Manhasset's mission throughout its 55-year history.
North Shore Animal League America to participate in Americana Manhasset's Champions for Charity(R). Over 70 participating Americana Manhasset and Wheatley Plaza stores will donate 25 percent of designated pre-tax purchases to the participating organization(s) of the customer's choice. Purchases are not automatically eligible; you must register for a complimentary Champion Card.
Simply designate North Shore Animal League America as your charity of choice and present your Champion Card when making purchases during the event. 25 percent will be automatically calculated and submitted to North Shore Animal League America.
