Description: |
The 2013 Gurwin Walk of Ages and Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013 on the Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center campus in Commack sponsored by the Gurwin Auxiliary. It was established to bring the community together on the beautifully landscaped Gurwin campus in Commack, while raising vital funds for programs and services. The participants include residents, family members, staff, local merchants and friends who walk, stroll or roll in support of Gurwin.
The day's activities include a 5K walk (with alternative paths for strollers and rollers) and family fun-filled activities such as face painting, music and games, bouncy castle and more. Each adult participant that raises $25.00 or more will receive a walk t-shirt. Children (up to age 18) who raise $15.00 or more will receive one as well.

Our Home Care programs bring the outstanding care for which Gurwin has become known to individuals in their own homes. And our 200 apartment Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences provides an assited living housing option to those who are looking to be 'home' but not alone. The funds raised from this event are used to enhance the quality of life for the over 1,000 individuals that Gurwin serves daily. |
