5K Walk/Run For Wildlife and Conservation Charity Fundraiser Event at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.
Join the Huntington Oyster Bay Audubon Society as we host our second annual 5K Walk/Run for Wildlife and Conservation at the beautiful Planting Fields Arboretum. Course length: Full course, 3 miles. For those who do not wish to do a full 3 miles, there are exit areas to shorten course. Please note there is a steep incline on one section of course.
Registration at 8:15AM
Walk/Run at 9:30AM
All proceeds will directly help fund HOBAS' conservation programs and initiatives. All 5K participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt.
Raise $50.00 and above and the registration fee will be waived. You will also be entered to win a gift basket worth over $250.00 in gift certificates from sponsors such as Sage Bistro Moderne, Sapsuckers Hops and Grubs, Mara's Homemade, ProBuff Auto Detailing, the Bronx Zoo, Fairway Market and more.
Raise $100.00 and be entered to win brand new Pentax DCF SP 8x43 binoculars (retail value $649.00).
Course is easy to moderate with a minor hill. This year we are measuring the course ourselves in order to ensure it is an actual 5K.
Please note that after 9:00AM there is an $8.00 parking fee for those who do not have an Empire Pass. For those who do not wish to do the full course, there will be exit areas.
