Flat course but very scenic, winding its way through the beautiful and historic Idle Hour community of Oakdale, Long Island, NY. Idle Hour was the estate to William K. Vanderbilt and the course crisscrosses the canals that he built and passes through the service buildings on the estate including the Pig Wallow, Tower Mews and former duck and chicken coops that are now private residences. This area is now know as the Artist Colony of Oakdale. Awards: Top 3 male and 3 female overall and first three in each age group. |
