The Greater New York Chapter Long Island Office of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced today the kick-off of Great Strides, the largest CF fund-raiser in the country. Great Strides raises critical funds for life-saving research, education and care programs for cystic fibrosis (CF), a fatal genetic disease. At Westhampton Beach, participation in Great Strides is expected to break attendance records this year. The Westhampton Beach walk will take place on Saturday May 19, 2011 starting at the Village Green located at the intersection of Mill Road and Main Street. Registration begins at 9:00AM and the walk begins at 10:00AM. Walk day is a fun, family-oriented celebration that includes a healthy walk. |
