Join us for the 10th Anniversary Arthritis Walk® 2012 Long Island. Ask your family, friends, relatives and co-workers to form a team and join you in fundraising to help find a cure for arthritis. You'll be part of a nationwide event that raises money for research and programs for arthritis, the nation's number one cause of disability. The prevalence of arthritis is growing - more than 500,000 Long Islanders are affected, including over 3,000 children.
The Arthritis Walk® is the signature fundraising event for the Arthritis Foundation. But it's not just an event, it's a celebration of year-round movement to help prevent and treat arthritis.
Every year we get together to celebrate movement and make a positive impact on the lives of people living with arthritis by raising funds for arthritis research, education and life improvement programs in communities across the country.
Our rallying cry, Let's Move Together® encourages people to get up and get moving. When you join us at the Arthritis Walk®, you're not moving alone-you are becoming part of a community looking to achieve better health and change lives at the same time. We hope to see you there. This is a dog friendly event.
