Description: |
This Run and Scholarship is in dedication of two Brentwood residents and volunteers of the Brentwood Fire Department. They lost their lives in the line of duty, while protecting the citizens of their town.
Join the Brentwood firefighters in the 1st Annual 5K Scholarship Run/Walk to commemorate the lives of 3 Brentwood firefighters who were trapped in a raging fire near Pilgrim State Hospital in 1956. C. Elliot and M. Ames died from injuries received in the inferno and because of their unselfish act, fellow firefighter A. Wittman Jr., although badly burned, survived the ordeal.

Race/walk start time 9:00AM rain or shine
Awards will be given to 1st male and 1st female overall and the top three males and females in 16 age groups. A $1,000 scholarship will be given to a deserving graduating senior using proceeds collected from the event. |
