Proceeds of the event benefit Autism Speaks Long Island and Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC) Suffolk. All ages are welcome. Ages twelve and under are free and students can receive community service hours. Come out, plunge and help make a difference in the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Autism Speaks is the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
AHRC Suffolk is a not-for-profit organization which provides a lifetime of therapeutic programs and services to children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Currently more than 2,500 educational, vocational, residential and respite services are provided through AHRC's thirty-eight facilities. |
