Description: |
The Davis Peach farm offers nectarines, plums and 70 varieties of peaches, including 80 trees of "donut peaches" flat peaches you can push the pit out of with your thumb and eat like doughnuts, through August, but come September, it's all about the apples and Davis has 10 varieties to choose from. Since 1910, we have been growing the finest, sweetest peaches found anywhere. Our different varieties ensure that you find the most delicious peaches to suit your tastes. Browse our site for more information - but most important, stop by and say hi.
We also have pumpkins, corn stalks, straw, mums, gourds, Montauk daisies, Jack be Little's, Indian corn, Hubbard squash and cheese pumpkins, giant pumpkins and painted pumpkins for all of your fall decorating needs, available at the farm stand. On the weekends of October we will have a maze made of straw for the little ones to play in and enjoy. You can also take pictures with our animals and rest by our picnic area. Our selection include yellow cling peaches, sour cherries, Long Island hot house tomatoes, farm fresh sangria mix, jams, jellies, preserves, canned peaches, fruit salsas, fresh baked fruit pies, fig trees, broccoli rabe and so much more.
New to the farm are real candy, caramel and chocolate covered apples real and chocolate Halloween lollipops made fresh by Mrs. Davis herself. Apples are in full season now, with pick your own available at the orchard on Hulse Landing Road and over 20 different varieties for you to purchase at the farm stand. Figs are available for sale as well as concord grapes. We have the best 100% pure apple cider anywhere, available in pints, half gallons and gallon size. We also have hot spiced apple cider on those cold days to warm you up.
To celebrate the fall season we are going to have haunted hayrides through the orchard. Expect live actors and lots of scary props. We will take you on a spooky ride through the orchard on tractor drawn trailers. Come in groups and be prepared to be frightened and thrilled. Each ride is at least 10 minutes long. You never know what or who may be lurking through the fields at night.
