The East Hampton Historical Society announces the return of the highly anticipated East Hampton Antiques Show to the historic grounds of Mulford Farm on Saturday July 21st through Sunday, July 22nd. Now in its sixth year, the East Hampton Antiques Show is widely recognized as the premier antiques event on eastern Long Island and a highlight of the East Hampton arts and social calendar.
Designer and author Charlotte Moss is the Honorary Chairperson of the Friday, July 20th Preview Cocktail Party, which offers patrons an early buying opportunity of the extraordinary array of antiques and collectibles. Ticket proceeds benefit the East Hampton Historical Society.
The events take place on the pastoral grounds of Mulford Farm, located on James Lane in the heart of the village of East Hampton. This historic 3.5-acre property features a restored 17th century farm house as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on eastern Long Island.
The East Hampton Antiques Show continues to be well received by both collectors and dealers alike and 2012 will be no exception. This eagerly anticipated offering of wares comes from a diverse assembly of more than 55 antique dealers, housed in elegant white tents arranged across the great lawns of the bucolic Mulford grounds.
The focus of the show is antiques and decorative items for the home and garden. Vintage rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American formal and country painted furniture, Art Deco and Moderne furniture, garden ornaments, wrought iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weather vanes, and mirrors will be offered.
Twenty-five A-list interior designers who work in the Hamptons are also supporting this year’s show on the Designers Committee. This year’s list includes Tom Scheerer, Marshall Watson, Tom Samet and Sharon Simonaire to name just a few.
The 2012 East Hampton Antiques Show is made possible by the generous support of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, House Beautiful, V&M (Vintage and Modern), Trunzo Building Contractors, Inc. and Channing Daughters Winery. The show is managed by Ferguson & D’Arruda of Providence, Rhode Island. Catering is provided by Brent Newsom and live music at the Preview Cocktail Party will be performed by Jane Hastay and Peter Martin Weiss. |
