Twice a year, Old Westbury Gardens opens its grounds to pooches and their owners. Each season this event becomes more popular. You get to enjoy walking the beautiful grounds with your best friend while mingling with some really friendly dogs and owners. This fall it is being held on September 29-30, 2012. On Sept 30 there is also a Fall Dog Festival so I thought that would be a more desirable day to attend.
The Old Westbury Gardens is a country estate with over 200 acres of formal gardens, fields and woodlands, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the former country estate of John and Margarita Phipps. |
