Adopt a pet! Save a life! Local rescue organizations are coming together for this very first annual Pet Adopt-A-Thon in picturesque Sound Beach. Come meet animals available for adoption, support responsible pet ownership, and learn how to care for your pet. STAR (Foundation will have a table at this event. STAR Foundation rescuing Long Island's animals is a non-profit, 510(c)(3) all volunteer organization on Long Island, New York dedicated to the welfare of wild and domestic animals.
Our goal is to provide a safe haven for every injured or orphaned Long Island animal in need of medical care, rehabilitation, or humane euthanasia, and to return as many healthy animals as possible to their natural habitat. Or, in the case of domestic animals, to find them a stable and loving home. |
